U.S. in Seventh at World Championships

The American fly fishing team is currently in seventh place after two days at the World Fly Fishing Championships in New Zealand.

The seven-person team, consisting of Anthony Naranja, Brett Bishop, George Daniel, Josh Stephens, Lance Egan, Mike Sexton and Scott Robertson, is well back of the first-place hosts going into the weekend.

A look at the standings heading into Friday's action:

1. New Zealand      6. Slovakia  
2. Czech Republic   7. U.S.  
3. England          8. Canada 
4. France           9. Italy 
5. Poland          10. Australia
