Bass, Bass and More Bass
Another rainstorm ripped through our side of the country last week, muddying the rivers and bringing them up to unfishable levels once again.
Maybe that’s why I’ve been thinking about species other than trout a lot lately. That and what seemed like never ending highlights of the Bassmaster Classic on ESPN. For those who hadn’t heard and weren’t stuck in front of the TV all weekend like I was, Texas-based bass fisherman Alton Jones won the "Super Bowl of bass fishing" and took home half a mil in the process.
In honor of Jones and my big bass brethren, I’ve posted species breakdowns on the largemouth and spotted bass, both of which are a blast on a fly rod, too.
