Daylight savings is here, and it couldn't have come at a better time here on the West Coast.
In Central California, temperatures were in the 70s on Sunday which made for some opportune fishing conditions.
The bugs were out. The sun was on the water. It was as if spring had come early.
While reports trickling in suggest fishing was still slow over the weekend, it's only going to improve with the weather, so get out to your spots while the water conditions are fair and scout it out for the upcoming spring season.
The general trout season in a lot of states doesn't get underway until the last Saturday in April, but that doesn't mean you can't get out there and scout your favorite fishing spots now.
Additionally, there are plenty of saltwater and bass fishing opportunities for anglers itching to land a fish this year.
And remember, we now have one extra hour of daylight, so make the most of it!
