Following up a previous post about fishing in the Pacific Northwest, the state of Washington's Fish and Wildlife Commission will be taking public comments to key fishing changes on March 1 in Moses Lake.

While much of the emphasis is on hunting rules, anglers in the state should take advantage of the opportunity to be heard on the 70 sportfishing rules under consideration.

Two of the hot topics include the use of two fishing poles on 50 additional lakes throughout the state and prohibit the retention of cabezon measuring less than 18 inches in length in marine areas 4-11 and 13.

A complete agenda for the meeting is available at wdfw.wa.gov/commission/meetings/2013/.
