As noted in a previous post, the International Game Fish Association has published and started shipping the 2013 IGFA World Record Game Fishes Book.
In it, the IGFA not only lists all of the records for the hundreds of species it keeps records on, but includes top 10 lists of the most used gear in those world record catches from 2012, including the most used scales, rods, reels, lines and tippets.
The lists are pretty interesting, and show what rods (Sage), scales (Boda Grip), reels (Alvey) and tippets (Rio) world record anglers trust most when they're on the water.
Read more about the most popular fly fishing gear used to catch those record species last year.
