New Product Reviews for 2013: Adamsbuilt Fly Fishing Gear

By December 30, 2012

Follow me on:

Adamsbuilt Fly Fishing HatOne of my resolutions for 2013 is to try out and review numerous products from a new outdoors brand every month.

After writing about fly fishing here the past few years, I'm looking for some cutting-edge products that will help me get the most out of my time on the water.

With three kids ages 5 and under, I don't get to fish as often as I did six years ago, so when I do, I'd like to get the most out of those trips and be as prepared and productive as possible.

That said, I'm kicking off the new year with a handful of reviews on products from Adamsbuilt, a somewhat new name to the fly fishing industry.

Adamsbuilt Fly FishingI say "somewhat new" because Adamsbuilt, headquartered in Fallon, Nevada (775-423-4254, AdamsbuiltFishing.com), is a newer brand name that was launched in 2011 by Hendrix Outdoors, which has been a household name in fishing and outdoors. To help avoid any confusion with the distribution side of its business, Hendrix spun off Adamsbuilt for its own branded fly fishing gear.

The quality of the products is still top notch, as you'd expect from Hendrix (since 1969), they're just being launched under a new brand name moving forward.

So look forward to those reviews over the next couple days.

Happy New Year!
