Friday June 6, 2008
If you live in California and don’t have a fishing license, no worries, Saturday June 7 if free fishing day throughout the state.
The free fishing day means anyone can fish without a license – following all other rules and regulations of course – on the state’s lakes, rivers and ocean.
It’s the first of two free fishing days set aside by the Department of Fish and Game this year in hopes of promoting the sport of fishing.
The second free fishing day is schedule for Sept. 27. More information on the free fishing day can be found at the DFG Web site.
